Twinsies turned 5!

Hard to believe these two are 5!

We started the birthday celebration with ice cream at school.

That evening we went to Build-A-Bear.  

Griffin was very excited to make his own Sean the monkey. 

  Colette picked a purple bat and named her Diamond Shine Bloodtooth.

And of course, Devlin got to get one too.

Friday we surprised the kids with a trip to Legoland and a stay at the new Legoland Beach Retreat.

Loved that we could sit on the front porch and watch the kids play.

 The room was really nice. There was an adult area and a kids area

 The kids loved their room. They just could not decide who would sleep where. I think it was finally decided that Devlin had the top bunk, Colette was on the bottom, and Griffin had the trundle.

The kids wore themselves out playing with the giant legos in the pool. 

We wrapped up our birthday activities with a birthday party with the family. We were exhausted by Saturday night and we all took a 2 hour nap on Sunday.

Shawn the monkey - Part II

Shawn the monkey came home with Colette the weekend before Halloween. On Friday night, the kids dressed up and we took Shawn on a haunted hayride. Griffin introduced Shawn to his cousin Franklin. 

The two ninjas were very excited.

 We took some silly pictures while we waited to go on the hayride 

 Our friends, Lyla and Tessa joined us on the hayride.  

 On Saturday, Shawn helped us paint and carve pumpkins.

We wrapped up the weekend with Shawn at our friend Ophelia's birthday party. Shawn loved petting all the animals and the playground. 

We were all exhausted by Sunday night. Shawn was happy when it was time for bed. 

 Colette had some great adventures with Shawn and was excited to tell her class about it on Monday.

Shawn is a monkey that lives at the kids' preschool. Shawn picks a child to go home with every weekend. Griffin brought home Shawn this weekend.

Everyone was very tired by the end of the weekend. Sunday night Griffin and Shawn watched a movie.

Then we tucked in Shawn for his last night.

All the kids had a good time with Shawn. Colette cannot wait for her turn. 

1st day of school - 2017

Today is the first day of school for the kids. Devlin is entering 2nd grade and Colette and Griffin are starting VPK. The kids were all excited today, I hope they feel the same tomorrow morning.
