Birthday party - Part 1

We brought Devlin back to Maryland at the beginning of February for an early birthday celebration.

We were up at 4 am Friday morning, so we could catch the first flight to Baltimore. Once we arrived we got our rental car and headed to the Eastern Shore to visit Devlin's great grandmother. Devlin first met Ma Noni in July when he was five months old.

Devlin had a great time rocking with Ma Noni and listening to her stories.

After we left Tilghman Island we stopped in Stevensville to visit our friends Kelly and Mike and their newborn Julia. We wish had more time to spend with them, but the schedule was very tight and we had to drive down to Southern MD. Still it was great catching up with them and meeting Julia.

We then made our way down to Hollywood to see Grandad and Grammy. Grammy had planned a birthday extravaganza for Devlin on Saturday. It started with Devlin opening a few of his gifts.

Later Devlin had his first taste of cake.

Of course, Devlin ended up wearing most of the cake. Alex, Devlin's oldest cousin, helped clean Devlin up and get him into a clean outfit.

After all the excitement, Devlin decided to just chill with his Aunt Amy.

As usual, our tip was too short. Sunday we were up early to head back to the airport. Devlin had a great time with his family in Maryland and is eagerly awaiting his next trip back north.
