Devlin was not feeling very well last week. We took him to the pediatrician when his temperature reached 102. The doctor tentatively diagnosed him with roseola. This diagnosis was confirmed Friday afternoon when the red spots made their appearance.

Family Photo
This is our first family photo! The pictures was taken July 24. It took us 5 months to get a family photo and another 2 months for me to post it.

The Land of Pleasant Living, 'hon (Part II)
I am finally getting back to posting about our trip to Maryland. Devlin met a lot of new people while in MD.
Devlin also made the trip over to Tilghman Island with Bryan to meet his Great Grandmother (Bryan posted a picture in a previous post). On our last full day in MD, we headed to Southern MD to see Grandma and Grandad.
My Mom brought Devlin to my office, so I could show Devlin off to my coworkers. My friend, Carin also stopped by the office that day, so Devlin could meet the triplets. The triplets were born a week before Devlin.

It was a whirlwind of a trip, but it was great to see our family and friends.

Crawling
Devlin has started crawling and that has left us with mixed emotions. We're happy he is making progress and gaining some independence, but we really need to baby proof the house and keep an eye on him. The other day he crawled over to the book shelf and grabbed a box of papers. It was on the bottom shelf, so there was no danger of anything falling on him.
Here he is in the crawling position, but he does not get anywhere.
This one shows him going after the camera. You can pretty much tell he is totally lacking style. We'll have to work on his form.

The Land of Pleasant Living, 'hon

In July, I had to go Maryland for business meetings. I decided to go back for two weeks and take Devlin with me. I was very nervous about flying alone with a baby, but Devlin was an excellent travel companion. The plane was full, so I had to hold Devlin on my lap. Luckily, he ate and was asleep before we took off and remained asleep the majority of the flight. When we exited the plane, other passengers remarked that they had not realized there was a baby on the plane. Needless, to say I was VERY proud.
A few days after our arrival, Uncle Chris, Aunt Staci, and Lex arrived in MD. Everyone was in town for one last hurrah at the Lipman residence. Mom-mom and Pop-pop sold the house, so they could move to Florida to be close to the grandkids. The first weekend in MD was crazy as relatives and friends from NJ and PA came to visit.

Devlin spent his days hanging out with his Mom-mom. He spent his days playing with lots of new toys. Mom-mom also put Devlin on a napping schedule which he continues to follow.

The first week in MD was a blast, but even more fun and visitors are to come...
